[1993] Anti-Gay Discrimination: Some Illustrative Recent Studies

Title

[1993] Anti-Gay Discrimination: Some Illustrative Recent Studies

Subject

Anti-Gay Discrimination

Description

As Part of its mission, the sexual Orientation Task Force's document, in 1976, detailed prejudicial behavior against gay persons. One of the missions of the current task force (1992-93) is to examine recent literature on attitudes and behavior towards gay persons; specifically, negative attitudes and aggression. This present report, therefore, will provide an update by reviewing recent, representative studies appearing in various psychology journals. It is not meant to be a comprehensive review, but rather attempts to provide a glimpse into attitudes toward, and abusive treatment of gays, as reflected in prominent psychology research journals.
